The National Measurement Institute regulate the application of measurement standards within Australia. For the food industry this includes on-pack weight, volume or count. In this webinar, we will review the specific requirements of the regulations, give examples of where this could go wrong and practical tips to help avoid a product withdrawal. We will talk specifically about labelling of weight on pack, tare weights, the UTML and AQS methods and where they are applicable for Coles Branded Products. We will also include some examples of recent recalls and withdrawals associated with underweight or mislabelled weight.
