In this webinar we will emphasise how cleaning needs to be considered as a crucial component within Food & Beverage Manufacturers’ Food Safety Plans, with particular emphasis given to the effective removal of allergens. We will describe the strategies and principal steps involved in effective sanitation processes in wet and dry-cleaning situations and including some case studies showing what can go awry.

Malcolm Swalwell | Technical Support Specialist | Ecolab

Malcolm’s current role is based in Brisbane where he provides technical advice & support to Food & Beverage (F&B) customers; account managers; as well as Ecolab’s Technical Department in Sydney & the Brisbane’s manufacturing plant.

Malcolm graduated from QUT with a Chemistry Degree and in 1987 joined Campbell Brothers as a Quality Control Chemist. He then moved into product R&D, focusing on hygiene and water treatment products for the F&B industry, and then taking on an account management role.  In 1995, he moved to Sydney and spent 5 years in various F&B hygiene, technical and training roles in ANZ and SEA. In 2000, Malcolm returned to Cleantec as an R&D Manager, focusing primarily on F&B hygiene product development. In 2010, Cleantec was purchased by Ecolab, and Malcolm joined the F&B Technical Support Specialist group.
