Ethical Sourcing and Subcontractor Onboarding

This session will outline the requirements of Coles’ Ethical Sourcing program for onboarding suppliers that engage subcontractors. It will provide a clear understanding of the ethical souring risks associated with subcontracting, including:

  • Limited visibility over working conditions
  • Unauthorised subcontracting
  • Increased vulnerability of worker groups

Participants will gain clarity on Coles’ expectations and the measures in place to mitigate these risks.

Key Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand potential risks within relevant service industries
  • Understand the importance of effective subcontractor management
  • Areas to review for effective subcontractor onboarding
  • Compliance requirements and expectations for ongoing monitoring of subcontractors

Our goal is to enable consistent, responsible supplier engagements that protect workers, uphold ethical standards, and reinforce Coles’ brand values.
